Just the Boots

Alright ladies and some gentlemen! It has officially been boot season for a while now. If you haven't found your favorite pair for the season, I suggest you start looking a bit harder! Now I have boots that I really like but this year I found a new love! Over the knee boots are not always easy to find, especially since I am 5 foot 11 with a size 11 shoe!

These beauties are from SMASH shoes. SMASH Shoes is an on-line retailer dedicated to shoes and boots for larger sizes. If you wear size 11 through 14 SMASH will be your new favorite place to shop!

The best part about these OTK boots, is that they are their own accessory! I don't need to add much to feel dressed up!

Liquid Taupe

Lately I have been really into finding tops that I can just through on. My schedule has been so busy with work and travel so I anytime I find something glam, low cost, and easy...I AM IN!

I found this top at Glam Envy and I am super excited that they will be opening a store front on Black Friday! For those of you who are loyal Glam Envy followers and are in the LA area make your way over to the new location! I can only imagine that it will be filled with great sales and tons of great pieces!!

Sometimes I find a color I fall in love with. For the past couple of years it has been olive green. Well...if I think about, it has actually been a lot longer. You see, my couch is olive green and I have decorated my living room around it! When I started seeing clothing trends turning towards this color I was so happy. It's a color that is super easy to dress up or down so that's perfect in my book. I always look for pieces that are versatile, and I love it even more when I find pieces in colors that work just as well.

For this look I decided to pair a jacket and a dress in the same color. This isn't something I normally do, but I was feeling the monotone look. Adding the blush pink shoes and blush pink bag softened things up too, so I am bound to do this again.

What do you think?

Hats For Fall

I have always had an affinity for hats. Baseball, fedoras, boaters, berets, panama, I love them all! When I was in college in the Bay Area I used to wear them all the time to cover my hair int he rain. But, now back in southern California it's not easy or cool enough to wear them as much as I would like to. However; I have kept some of my favorites and of course added to my collection. Here are some styles that are my favorite!

Make sure you get your hats ready for this winter!

Grey and Green

Happy Monday!

Well it started to cool down just a bit over the weekend so I am excited to pull out my boots! When we wear boots in L.A. it means the weather has cooled down to about 68 degrees. Now, for those of you who are not in the L.A. area or even southern California, any temps below 68 degrees we consider to be super cold.

Nonetheless I pulled out these babies and paired them with a mini dress from Forever21+. Since I am taller than the average girl, I had to be strategic about how I wore this dress. I wasn't planning on giving anyone a show! I questioned wearing leggings or even jeans, but when it came down to it I knew I had to be true to the real feel of the dress and wear it as intended. It felt great too.

Find your pieces that make you feel great and sometimes push a boundary...or two!

Little Layers

Fall in southern California is not really what most people consider fall. It is still 80 degrees outside and still we always try to make seasonal looks work when there is really only one season. HOT! What I like to do in the fall is layer! It doesn't have to be a lot of layers, but layers help me feel like I am dressed for the season and also give me the ability to remove something so I am not too hot! Also, I can cheat by wearing sleeves everything! This way, I still have a fall feel with layers and stay cool.
