Dress Blues

Monday, June 27, 2016

The past few months I have been obsessed with two colors. Olive Green and Navy Blue! I've been feeling like there will never be enough of these two colors in my closet! So any opportunity I get to add one of the two, I try to take it!

I found this dress at GlamEnvy, and like many of the dresses I have in my closet it is another amazing body contouring dress that hugs all my curves in the right places.

Go With the Flow

Friday, June 24, 2016

There are so many things in life we have absolutely no control over. I, like so many others, try to control much of my life and then realize that control is only an illusion. So when I get a reminder that I am not in control I remember to just go with the flow.

This flowing gem is from Lakshmi Dolls and as soon as I saw it I instantly thought of the different looks I could create! I love it with shorts and I'll probably also wear it with a swimsuit this summer!

That's the best part about getting dressed each day! Dress according to how you feel and just go with the flow!  photo Courtney_zpsa7ea05a2.png

Target Style

Wednesday, June 22, 2016

When I dress for work there are certain styles I know will work no matter what. I found this dress at Target! I saw it on the rack and knew it would be great! I didn't even try it on because I just knew. There are certain styles of dresses that just work! This was one of those!

I wasn't originally planning on sharing this dress here for you all, but sometimes I get so excited about something that I have to share the wealth! Head over to your local Target and grab yours! It comes in black too!  photo Courtney_zpsa7ea05a2.png

Peachy Keen

Monday, June 20, 2016

Usually Memorial Day brings on warm weather, however this June there was more gloom that normal. Thank goodness that has all started to change! Temperatures have risen to 100 degrees and higher, so the need for clothes that are breathable and flow in the wind is more important than ever!

Father's Day Gift Ideas

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

As Father's Day approaches, we should use this time to think about the men in our lives who have played a huge role since the beginning. Sometimes it's hard to think of a gift that will represent how much you love your father, however here are some ideas that may help jump start your gift search!

Happy Shopping!

White Bikini

Friday, June 3, 2016

In my previous post, I talked about Puerto Rico being my place of refuge and my happy place. Another thing I have come to realize over time, is that I am who I am. As times goes I become more and more comfortable in my own skin and what I look like. Each year before and during "swimsuit season" I look forward to searching for the best swimsuits I can find that are going to be flattering to my figure. I may not be a size 2 or even a 10, but I am so comfortable in own skin, that size is a non-factor!

I found this swimsuit at SwimSuitsForAll and it is by far my favorite! There is something about the color white and summer that makes me smile. So when I see a clothing item or a swimsuit in white something comes over me and I have to have it! LOL!!

The fit on this swimsuit is great, however I probably should have sized up one size with the bottoms just to add an ounce more of comfort. But as you can see, that didn't stop me!

Lace in Paradise

Wednesday, June 1, 2016

As I get older, I realize the importance of taking time for myself. Last year I took a trip to Puerto Rico with my cousin, and I realized on that trip that this island is now my favorite place to be. With the exception of being home, of course! Waking up to hearing the ocean, walking outside to the smell of fresh air, and falling asleep to the call of the Coqui frog will always bring a smile to my face. Both times on the island I was welcomed by the people and treated so kindly. It's refreshing to be in a place where the people are so genuinely sweet and love to share their country with you!

I use my time on the island soak in the experience and meditate on where my life is. The time allows me think deeply and clearly about all my blessings and is a huge reminder of what I need to be grateful for. I have a tendency to be very consumed with work and focus solely on my personal goals. So, taking a few days to myself to decompress and just enjoy life will now be something I move up on my priority list!

Although it is a long journey to get to my paradise, the experience is well worth it.
