Spring/Summer Wish List: Part 2

Happy Friday Everyone!

As spring progresses and summer approaches I am slowing gathering items from my previous Spring/Summer Wishlist and checking off them as I go! But, now that means there is room for additional items to add! WOO HOO!

Here are some pieces I am currently hoping to add to my closet! GOOD NEWS! Most of these are $40 bucks or less...remember, I'm the Glamazon on a budget!

If there are any pieces that you think I should take a look at, send me the link! I am always up for suggestions!

D.I.Y. Leopard Clutch

The basis of the blog is a glamazon on a budget. As the fashionista that I like to call myself, I like to follow and support my fellow bloggers. I get ideas and inspirations from the ladies who love fashion just as much as I do.

I recently saw a clutch from Claire V.. that I fell in love with! Unfortunately the price doesn't quite fit my glamazon budget! I love to shop so I have to count my pennies and make sure I am being a recession-ista! So, as the crafty and resourceful gal I like to consider myself, I made my own clutch! A friend and I went into downtown L.A. (another reason why I love it here!) and looked for fabric, zippers and interfacing to make my own version of this clutch. I am very happy with how it turned out!

What are your thoughts?

Dress to the Maxi

Every year I look forward to summer so I can pull out all my maxi dresses! The nice thing about living in L.A. is that it’s usually hot enough to wear a dress from April to September. As a tall girl, I die for a great maxi dress! There is one requirement for a great maxi; it has to come all the way to your toes! In flats and in HEELS!!!  For me, a maxi that doesn’t touch my toes is a deal breaker!

I found this great maxi athe Guess Factory Store at the Camarillo Premium Outlets. On my way home from Santa Barbara I made a quick shopping stop at the Guess Factory Store. Last summer I found a great yellow maxi at the guess outlet. So since they were great to me last summer, I figured I’d check it out! This maxi COMPLETELY fits the bill! It comes to my toes (WOOHOO!), and the color is AMAZING!!! Every girl should have a version of pink and coral in their closet! She should also have a great “go to” maxi dress! Here are some great maxi dresses from Old Navy that I am LOVING!!

Jump out of Spring

Anais Sandals: JustFab
Aviator Sunglasses: Michael Kors
Watch: Michael Kors
Old English Silver Name Necklace: Elim Jewelry (old; but here is something similar!)

All spring long I’ve been obsessing over floral prints! As you saw from my last post, I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with my Floral Peg pants from ASOS Curve. When I think of floral prints, I think of spring, romance, walks in the park, and champagne brunch with the girls! Spring is a time for everyone to be easy breezy and take life easy. There are only a few weeks left in spring so I have to enjoy the few weeks we have left!

When I saw this Jumpsuit on-line at New York & Co., I had to have it! Unfortunately it was sold out in my size! So, on a day off from work I took a trip to the mall and found it! There was one left and it was in my size! It was meant to be!

Wearing prints (especially floral printed jumpsuit) is not for everyone. But, I always wear what makes me feel good, and not what others think will look good on me.

What are your thoughts?

Since I moved to LA, I have been spending a lot of time with my Aunt and Uncle who live in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Honestly, if it wasn't for them I would feel like I was alone here. It’s super easy to get lost in a city like Los Angeles! With all the traffic and temptations, I am surprised that I have made it almost three years already!!!

On this Mother’s Day I didn't get to spend the day with my own mother (because she lives in Northern California), but I did get to spend the day with my wonderful Aunt. She and I have always had a special relationship, and if it wasn't for her I would be lost in the City of the Angels. As a child she would entertain me with trips to the mall, and sometimes even…conversation! Which had to be rough for her, because I was quite the chatterbox as a child! She has always been very kind, patient, caring, and loving especially
when she knew I needed it. She has a daughter and two grandchildren to fill her time and her heart, and still she makes time for me! I am very honored and blessed to call her Aunt…this blog wouldn't even exist without her help!
