Simple Success

I have made a point to take vacations and make time to get away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday rat race. It is so easy to get caught up in what we think we need to prove in order to show success. So much of what we were taught as children defines success as what others perceive of usor what we have to show off.

This time on my trip to Puerto Rico I really thought about staying and abandoning what I know here in LA and maintaining an island lifestyle. I mean, who wouldn't want to live on a beautiful island drink piƱa coladas and mojitos all day?! This made me think to myself, "Could I be happy with a similar lifestyle?" Would I be able to leave what I consider to be luxuries and conveniences for simplicity and possible less stress? This is The Simple Glamazon, right? Shouldn't a successful lifestyle be simple too?

The truth is, I know I could make anything work if I truly put my mind to it. I'm this way with most things in life. So this creates a new question for me to work on finding an answer to.

How will I define success for me? What works for me may not work for most, but that's OK.

Take some time and think about what you define as successful then try your best to live in your success story.

Purple Velvet

There are some pieces you see and just know you'll be able to rock as soon as you put them on. There are some pieces that will transform you as soon as you pull the zipper to the top.  I knew when I saw this purple velvet jumpsuit from DebShops that there would be a transformation taking place!

You may have seen me wearing a jumpsuit here and here, but this one I have to say is my absolute favorite! Plus, velvet is a trend that I have really been into this season, so when I found a piece that combined something I love and a cool trend I was on board.

Find your transformation piece and allow yourself to be brand new!

Power Blue

Much of what I post about has to do with how I dress in my personal life and not my professional. So why not take a moment to tell you all how I enjoy dressing for work. Of course a dress will always be a go-to for me, however after a dress there is a jumpsuit. I LOVE A JUMPSUIT! It is so easy! Step in and step out. That's the best part in my opinion. In my professional life I am on my feet lot helping people so feeling comfortable is a must. When I got to work, I like to make sure I am polished and professional, but I always want to be easy breezy!

Those who know me,  know I put a lot of thought into everything I do. Especially getting dressed for work.

Hot Ginger LA is a great new monthly subscription clothing line dedicated to curvy women! How wonderful is this?! You have the choice of a $39.99 box with three pieces or a $79.99 box with six pieces. So there is something for every budget and every closet! Plus, who doesn't like receiving presents each month?

What I love about the pieces I received is that I can wear them all together or separately and it all looks great! I definitely plan on wearing this cardigan whenever I can! This mini dress is prefect for a night out with the girls or date night.
