Kolouri Extender

Have you ever had a piece in your closet for a while that you love but want to re-work for a slightly different look? I have had this dress from Forever21+ for a while and I love it, but when I wear heels it can feel a tiny bit too short. I love it but I feel like I should be in flats! One strong breeze and it's over!

JORD Watch

Sometimes on the weekends I don't want to spend too much time getting ready. I like to grab a few "go to" pieces and be off for my day! Usually when I do this I rely on great accessories to glam up my look for the day. I'll grab earrings, a necklace, a pair of sunglasses, and a watch! There is something about having a watch on that makes any outfit look polished.

This great wood watch is from JORD Watches. It is made all of wood and is custom made to fit my wrist! It is perfect for those days when you want to look glam but polished, and simply put together. We all know that glam is my thang, but sometimes the glam is in the simplicity!

Red Hot on the Beach

As each summer comes and eventually goes, I realize I am getting more and more obsessed with swimsuits! I literally look forward to searching for new swimsuits all the time. Maybe it has to do with all of the options that are available? I mean, until recently there weren't too many cute and affordable options for swimsuits if you were over a size 10. Now, my options are endless! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Aruba: One Happy Island

If you have been following me on Instagram, you saw that I was recently in Aruba! It was wonderful! Having this opportunity to go to a small desert island was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am so blessed to have had. I spent six days with friends laying on the beach, playing in the pool, riding Segways, taking a tour of the island, and eating the most delicious BBQ. 

The more and more I travel, I realize how wonderful the world can be and that we should focus on the positive aspects of our lives. It can be really easy to quickly identify the negative and spend too much time thinking about why things happen. Personally, I would like to think about the good things in my life and dwell on the beauty of what is and where I am. The plan is make my life similar to Aruba-One Happy Island.

Yankee Doodle Blazer

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!

Each year most of us spend July 4th with family and friends around a pool having BBQ. This day should always be remembered as a day of independence, and we should be thankful that we live in a country that allows us to speak and live freely.

I found this blazer at Banana Republic and knew it would be perfect for so many different occasions! First, it's perfect for work. Second, I love it paired with jeans! And third, I'll probably wear it over a dress...of course! I'm so predictable...LOL! When I tried it on, the first thing I thought of was "Yankee Doodle Dandy". I feel very patriotic in this blazer. Like I should be marching with a flag and singing "The Star Spangled Banner"!
